At first,Cartier seemed friendly, because he became friends with Native Americans. then he didnt ask them if they cared that he was claiming their land!

Champlain must have been very brave. It sounds like he was friendly enough.

On new thing I learned aboout jacques Cartier was that he really thought out his ideas like how he decided to go back to his home so that they wouldnt get stuck in ice in the winter.I think this is important because it shows people that explorers dont always have to go through all types of harsh experiences and that explorers have a choice of going home or going through rough stuff and sometimes explorers think it out in there head that they can die out on the sea or live and explor more. One new thing I learned about Sameul de Champlain is that he keeped notes probably about where he was going and what people thought the world was like back then. This is impotant because his notes help us today to figure out where he was going, why he was going, and what they thought the world looked like.

I think they're important to learn about because they claimed new places and made discoveries and if they didn't, we wouldn't learn about anything we know today, it would alter history, the universe, and everything.
